My epic weight loss journey started 8 years ago.
Do you feel confused and stuck because the things that you’re doing to lose weight just aren’t working? That’s where I was roughly eight years ago.
I would like to share my story about my weight loss journey with you today because I can guarantee that there are other women out there feeling the exact same way that I did, perhaps you?
It was the hardest time in my life; Having two little kids and financial pressures. I was focused; I’ll say “obsessed” with my weight. I was the heaviest that I’ve ever been. The hardest part was that I had a master’s degree in exercise physiology. I had been an Ironman athlete, a multi marathoner. And here I was now with one pair of fat pants. My girlfriends invited me to go out with my them. I wanted to go. So I went into the bathroom and tried on a pair of boyfriend jeans that were too big; they did not fit.
I started to try on every article of clothing and ended up with a pile of clothes on my bed and sat on my bedroom floor sobbing. Back then the common philosophy was to move more and eat less. I was doing that; kept thinking that moving more and eating less was going to be my salvation, my ticket, my way out. This formula to lose weight wasn’t working at all. What I wanted was to look good in a pair of jeans and a tank top. It was vanity driven.
I thought that I was eating the right foods to lose weight. I thought I was doing the right kind of exercise.
